CONVERSATIONS WITH COMPOSERS is a Composer study of 12 inspirational Composers spanning the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th century era's.
This curriculum for ages 4-12 covers the life, history, style and famous works of 12 dynamic musicians.
About CONVERSATIONS WITH COMPOSERS
Each lesson in 'Conversations with Composers' is educational and filled with creative ways to teach children about the lives of 12 famous composers including: J.S Bach, L.V Beethoven, George Gershwin, Clara Schumann and John Williams just to name a few!
'Conversations with Composers' features detailed hand drawn illustrations throughout, including a set of custom cut-out paper dolls! The curriculum is 77 pages and includes 3 exclusive supplemental videos to accompany the lessons.
Accompanying each lesson is a craft or activity, as well as a handful of reading and listening suggestions. All suggestions are hand picked and pre-screened to correlate with the theme of the lesson. This unit even includes the opportunity to learn how to dance Tchaikovsky's "Trepak" and how to waltz!
Designed to be completed in 20-40 minutes, each lesson includes:
- focused teaching on the composer
- a hands on activity or craft
- a selection of listening suggestions
- a selection of reading suggestions
- composer colouring pages for busy hands OR to display as a timeline
Each lesson in the curriculum offers an alternative activity for your Young Learners (ages 4-8) and for Older Learners (ages 8-12) so you can teach the whole family together!

Additional supplies needed:
Activities are designed to be done at home with regular household supplies. Once in a while, there may be additional supplies needed (for example, watercolour paints in Lesson 7.)
A listening platform and the use of the internet (mainly for YouTube video clips) is highly recommended! If you prefer to make the most use of your time, the Listening Suggestions can be played during the activity time. All suggestions can be found on YouTube or on your favourite listening platform.
